Gareth Hoddinott

Gareth’s journey to the heart of the French Alps began in the rugged backcountry of his native New Zealand, where he spent his youth exploring the Southern Alps. After years of trekking around the world, he settled in the Maurienne Valley, where he now lives with his young family. As an international mountain guide, Gareth brings a distinctive "Kiwi" approach to his work. When not exploring or guiding in the mountains, he can be found performing on some of Europe's most prestigious stages as a professional baroque trumpet player or playing his alphorn high on mountain pastures.
