Stef was more than we could have expected. He arranged birthday parties halfway up mountains, offered us cups of hot tea at picnics, and entertained the group with quizzes to keep us entertained. And he managed to orchestrate the whole trip so that we accomplished everything in the itinerary—all with a smile. He's a keeper!

Stefano is among the best guides I've traveled with, and that's saying a lot, since WT's guides are a stand-out group. We've been on 15 trips so far and never cease to be impressed by the quality of the guides. Though this trip was billed as an exploratory, Stefano handled it as if he had done it a number of times before. He was calm, fun, inclusive, and made everyone feel at ease right away. He made us laugh and added so much fun to the trip. Also it's clear he worked very hard beforehand to find hikes that would be both scenic AND uncrowded, and worked in trips to farms and other areas of interest.

There were so many things I appreciated about Stefano: his open, friendly manner and sense of humor, graceful adaptations to variable Norwegian weather, striving to make each day special, finding suitable, uncrowded hiking routes, positive interactions with our assistant leader, and relaxed but focused briefings on what to expect each day.
