Carp Island Resort

A simple ecolodge on its own private island, Carp Island Resort enjoys an extraordinary location just 10 minutes from the world-famous sites of the Blue Corner and Blue Hole. The Palau-style beachfront bungalows, set along the resort's own meandering mile-long beach, are spacious but somewhat spartan, and cooled with ceiling fans (electricity is supplied by generators). A long dock extends out into the water, and at night, it's an incredible place to stargaze under the brilliant sky in the wonderfully balmy evenings. This is one of our more basic accommodations, but it gives us extraordinary access to the World War II battlefields at Peleliu.
